Hotclub of Cowtown

For over forty years, Asleep at the Wheel has been spreading the country-jazz joy that is western swing across the globe. Led by singer/guitarist Ray Benson, the group got its start in West Virginia and moved to the Bay Area before becoming stalwarts of the Austin music scene, alongside Willie Nelson, Marcia Ball and others. Known for sophisticated arrangements and jazz sensibilities combined with the classic sounds of Texas western swing, their latest album Still The King is an all-start tribute to the Duke Ellington of the genre: Bob Wills. Formed in 1998 Hot Club of Cowtown represents the next generation of western swing ambassadors, and has just released their ninth album, Midnight on the Trail.
